I currently have a complete set of MAME roms up to 0.71. I am now setting up individual console roms and systems via MAMEwah and I wanted to run a separate NeoGeo Rage emulator for Neo Geo roms. It is my understanding that roms are roms and that there are not separate Neo Geo console roms vs. the Neo Geo roms that are released with MAME. Therefore, I already have all the Neo Geo roms mixed in with all the zipped roms in my MAME roms folder. My question is, is there a way to get (isolate) just the Neo Geo roms from the MAME roms folder, copy them, and put them into a Neo Geo console roms folder for just use with NeoGeo Rage?
Or does someone just point to the MAME roms folder via Neo Geo rage and it just recognizes the Neo Geo roms?
Thanks.

I don't know how to isolate the neo geo roms, but as far as pointing neogeo rage to the mame folder, it wouldn't work very well for mamewah since mamewah would show you the entire mame set, not just the neo geo ones.

Not neccessarily true. You could use a DAT file so only games supported by NeoRage are displayed.

I could be wrong, but I don't believe that NeoRage works from the command line. If memory serves me, all I could get using the cmd line was NeoRage to startup its gui. This would make it unsuitable for use with Mamewah.
I use a neogeo build of Mame (I can't remember what version I compiled it from). You can also use Nebula or Kawaks... I think.
In regards to rom seperation, Mame can have multiple rom paths, so you can put them where ever you want (just add the path to your mame.ini). A dat file is also a very good way.
