Title: How do I print my own iCade skins?
Post by: Man-Machine on February 12, 2013, 07:58:10 pm
If I have the artwork on Illustrator, what are my options to actually replace the iCade artwork?

I'm looking of a simple solution that doesn't include sanding or anything like that. Also, I want to have some artwork on the plastic control panel as well.

Thanks.

seems like you could just put them right on over the top of the stock stickers.  Have you googled it yet.  I know several places sell skins for the iCade.  I'm sure there is a writeup somewhere about it.  Most likely you'd want to take apart the control panel so you can get the buttons off first.  Getting your decals printed on adhesive vinyl is going to start costing you as much as the icade is worth though.

Why not build your own? :)

ThinkGeek.com was holding a contest awhile back and had mentioned they were looking for a winner whose design would be added to their line of stickers. They had a pdf format template for download ( HERE : http://www.thinkgeek.com/contests/icadeskin/index.shtml (http://www.thinkgeek.com/contests/icadeskin/index.shtml) ) SO you might check their site as they mention having several designs ready to go but needing one more so I think they were planning on selling them !
