Title: Looking for a switchable restrictor plate
Post by: JoeyJoeJo on February 09, 2013, 11:14:09 pm
I've got some u360 joysticks and I'd like a restrictor plate that's easily switchable between 4 and 8 way. I don't really want to have to take the joystick out of the cp to switch. Any suggestions?

not allot of people have had much luck switching without disassembly or less than stellar performance.

Eh, if that's the case I'll probably just go with a regular 8 way plate. Any suggestions on a good 8 way plate?

...and I assume you already saw the front-mount restrictor kit on the Ultimarc's Ultrastick 360 page.  I have one of my 360s outfitted with this and IMHO it works very nicely. 4-way/8-way switching takes 2 seconds--it's particularly nice for diagonal 4-way. It also pops out instantly for analog games.  You can see my CP here http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,59359.msg1283314.html#msg1283314 (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,59359.msg1283314.html#msg1283314).

Hmm, I was under the impression that you had to somehow take the joystick out of the cp in order to switch between 4 and 8 way. I guess I'll give it a try. Thanks for the suggestion.
