I got a DVI monitor, I bought a VGA to DVI adapter cord and it doesn't work. No signal found. So it's not just as simple as buying the adapter cable? Am I missing something?
Thanks for your help,

It's tougher than that man. You're trying to go from an output that's analog to an input that's expecting a digital signal. Although it's simple to use the little plug on adapters to connect onto a video card in a pc that has only DVI output so you can use it with an older VGA (15-pin connection) monitor, the other way around would require some type of special converter. If you have an expansion slot in the pc to install a new video card with DVI output, that would be your BEST/CHEAPEST solution.
