I did a lot of research lately about building your own arcade machine. But the more i know, the more I do not know. Please help me with detail information source and books on how things is put together. And here are some question I have so far, please help.
1/ Can I play classics games with emulators (MAME) and with JAMMA's pcb on the same computer?
2/ Where and how to connect the pcb on to the pc? What do I need to do to make it happen in term of wiring and set up JAMMA's harness? I don't know nothing about this. Detail is greatly appreciated
3/ What kind of monitor is best for both MAME and JAMMA pcb games? I am thinking about using the old crt tv, should I have the one that has the S-video port for both kind of games I want to play?
4/ Since I want to play both MAME and JAMMA games, I know you have to have JAMMA harness for JAMMA games so I will build the joystick with the harness, then what will I do to play MAME games with the same control.
Any advice what I should have and do for the whole project that would save me time and money. Please do help
