Title: light-up plastic coin slots
Post by: dphirschler on November 04, 2003, 07:51:40 am
My coin door (that I bought used) has a coin slot that is scratched up.  This is the plastic light up slot with the "25 cent" insert inside.  You can push it and get your coin returned.  Does anybody know where I can find a new replacement?

Depends on what kind of door it it.  Happs?  CoinCo?  Coin Controls?

It's not Happ, although it does closely resemble Happ's "pinball door".  One difference is Happ's coin door has rounded edges, mine is squared.

I'll post a picture soon.  But the plastic light-up coin insert slot/return button looks like a standard piece.

Unfortunately, they aren't a standard piece.  Some have the coin slot integrated with the button, some of the older ones (I believe Asahi Seiko) don't.  As you have already noticed, some Happs are smaller and more rounded, some of them are more square.  I'm sure once you get a pic up, we will be able to point you in the right direction.

You can see the scratches on the right coin slot on the closeup photo.

Okay, it's a standard Williams door.  I'm not 100% sure, but I think Bob Roberts might have what you're looking for.

They may be this Happs part number: 27-1037 or 27-1038

The picture is of a later "Coinco" brand door (orange button). This is the one where the coin goes 'beside' the button.
