Title: Fix it Felix Jr. Mini/Cabaret
Post by: BUCKETHEAD on January 30, 2013, 09:04:51 pm
Didn't take pictures of the whole build.
Everyone knows how that goes already"
But here are close to the Finish Line Pictures

The cab is basically this size (almost 4ft tall) for my 3 year old.
Before he falls off the stool and injures himself playing my fullsize cabs.

I not a big fan of the Nintendo baby blue cab color.
Even though i own a POPEYE.
And a DK which i changed to RED.

I color matched the paint to RidicRick's CP color.

I'm gonna put a old P4 i have in it and run the usual vert games.

Also planning to add a fake Coin Door.
Just to give it the look.

Anyway's here's a couple of pictures.
More will follow soon.

Love it!

I'm always worried about my kids falling off those stools too.  Hmmm.

Got it up and running.
I still need to put on the T-molding, Glass, and Side Art.
Also a little more paint and the Fake Coin Door.

Update:

T-molding added. Tinted Plexi, and Fake Coin Door.
The Lock is actually a USB port to add games.

All that is left is the Side art and Monitor Bezel Art.
Which i will be getting from RidicRick.

Hey man, why is one side black and one side blue? Same for the top of the cab. Aside from that the rest looks good so nice job.

It's cute so far. :3  I bet your kid will love it! And it's great that the top can double as a place to store WiR toys. XD (Heck, if I ever wind up with/make a full sized FiFJr, I plan to stick my WiR merch and 1/6th scale customs up there, too!)

As for the concern about him falling off a bar stool while playing the full sized cabs - they do make tall chairs with arms and a back that are similar to bar stools. I've got one that I often keep in the kitchen so I can use it while washing dishes or climb on it to reach high places, etc. Perhaps you could find one that's about the right height? Or build one/modify a bar stool?

Great job BucketHead!
Anyone with small kids, I definitely suggest you build them a small cab.
My grand daughter loves her "A Little Rage", and even though she has to stretch a bit to reach the  higher up buttons on the CP, I know in a year or two it will be perfect. Then when she out grows it, she has a little sister coming up behind her.
Now about your build, (maybe I missed it), but what sort of electronics are you using for the game?
