I am trying to install a new black box xxxxin1 game board, i am hooking it up to a 24" LCD monitor via the VGA connection. I can see the bios boot screen, but then the screen goes black and says that the resolution is not supported. Can anyone tell me what to do here?

Consult your bajillion-in-1 board manual and change the resolution dip switch to something standard. (640x480 or 800x600 etc) it may be set for something like standard resolution (320x240) which is not supported by digital monitors much anymore.

i did refer to the manual, and i did set the dipswitch but when i press the video button on the card, or any other button, nothing happens...

figured it out, there are 2 wires that connect to the small control board, i had only connected one, newbie!

could you post a photo of the board and the offending area? it will help somebody else if they have the same issues.
