Title: anyone interested in old NES/SNES stuff ??
Post by: night on November 03, 2003, 07:01:57 pm
id like to sell this stuff to help finish building my motor, but its gonna take me some time to list out what i have. wondering if ppl will even have interest before i do. these are pretty much the only forums i frequent anymore so thought i'd give it a shot.

i have about 80 games of nes, 25-30 or so of SNES, and quite a collection of hardware.
does anyone might want this stuff, or know a good place to list it? that isnt ebay.

Man, where were you a week ago?

I would be interested in a NES unit, although I plan to hack a mini-ITX into it, so if you have one that's not working, that would be ideal.  I'd like a non-working unit that still has the entire case intact, particularly the audio-video jacks and the power/reset buttons.

Also, if you have a NES advantage, that would be sweet...

Thanks

John

Arrgh, I just tossed out the case to a Nes a few weeks ago. Didn't realize there was any demand for the cases.

this site has all the info

nes pc (http://www.junkmachine.com/nintendo/members/tutorial.shtml)

jcoleman, check out this m/b

shuttle fv25 (http://www.dealtime.com/xPC-Shuttle_Socket370_FV25)

should fit that case just fine but have a lot more power than a via mitx. this is what's going into my sega pc/pvr.

not sure where good place to list it is but i may be interested depending on the games. you could try like babbages/gamestop or electronics boutique/ebworld to buy your used games/systems but i'm sure you could do better selling them yourself.

Now you're playing with power!  ;D

Actually I am not that concerned about power, as long as it emulates any and all NES games with no problems.  I plan to hook it to the TV in my gameroom.  Thanks for the links!

Im building a nes pc ( but with a freetech p3 mobo) and would be interested any hardware you would otherwise throw out.

I go by the same name on the junkmachine forums.

the freetech board is a good one too. it's smaller, but a bit more expensive.

there's also a few p4 boards that will fit as well, but we're talking about a big jump in total cost(and heat).

the beauty of using a p3 mb is that it allows better pc gaming and pvr performance. the via boards do have onboard hardware mpeg decoding and are a cheaper solution. it's a tough call.

the junkmachine.com forums have many threads about the trade offs. i'd recommend doing some research there.

good luck with your project.

ive been doing this for a while. Im a veteran there, got my whole project planned out, just need some cash. And my cabis gonna be powered by my nespc, whith a plexiglass window in the front to see it in all of its nintendoish glory.

My offer still stands.

Hey night if you haven't sold it all yet I'm mainly interested in games but I would take the NES too.  I really want some shmups ala 1942 and such.  I also need mega man 1-3 PM me if you want to talk prices and have a list made up.

Thanks

dude it looks like this post got way off track but i'd love to grab a list from you, I live for NES and SNES games (i'm a geek that way) anyways if you would be so kind as to possibly hit me up with a list of your wares to NickFits @@ hotmail.com  just make that look like an email address heh (those damn pesky spam bots).

Anyways, I may be interested in buying all your stuff let me know.
