Title: Where to find a translucent clear trackball?
Post by: stpcore on January 23, 2013, 09:19:21 pm
I'm looking to find a 3" translucent trackball that will glow white or clear. I can't seem to find anything accept blue, orange, green, etc. Anyone have any suggestions? I can't be the only one looking I hope!

Contact juggling ball - 3" is a pretty standard size.  They are pretty durable too, and when you're not using it as a trackball you can jazz out and pretend you're Jareth from Labyrinth.

All kinds of colors available - amazon has them too

Has anyone used these with success? Are they weighted the same? Gonna put it in a Golden Tee and I don't want to be disappointed with it. Thanks for the suggestion.

Never used one.  Let's see, suzohapp carries a 3" clear replacement ball for $60ish

It doesn't have a weight listed but I'm sure with some research you could figure it out then compare the two since we know the juggling ball is 241grams from amazon and 270ish from the juggling website I linked.  Then you could just compare relative densities and ascertain a conclusion from that.  Did you try googling?

I checked all of the vendors here and ebay and didn't find anything. Yes I did check google first. Thanks. I will order from Happ. I normally don't like to order direct from them due to pricing they offer.

Try divemaster, he might have one for a bit cheaper.

I used one(3" juggling ball) in a build....perfect fit, but the translucent ones aren't lighting friendly.  The trans blue ball I used blazed to the point the led I had installed was unusable.  It was a 5v led, but maybe if you had more control of the light output it would work.

But if you're not looking for a colored translucent ball they'll work real well.

I actually noticed that Happ sells a translucent WHITE 3" trackball replacement for under $30.  That will work perfect for Golden Tee / PGA Golf Machines.  Thanks for all the help.
