Hi,
Here is a newbie post for you:
I'm a big home theater guy and an active poster on a lot of forums, so I know how awesome the knowledge base at these forums can be. Hoping you all can give me a some info! :notworthy:... I am just starting the process of building a games room adjacent to my theater. One of the things we'd like to incorporate is a jukebox. There is a guy nearby my home that is selling a Rowe 100 C Jukebox... just like this one:
http://jukeboxesunlimited.com/amirowecd100c.html (http://jukeboxesunlimited.com/amirowecd100c.html)
He claims that the pro-player is rebuilt and working fine.
So here are my questions:
1) How reliable are these machines in general? I know this is a basic question... but I'm just trying to get a feeling as to how reliable it will be over time.
2) How easy would it be for me to program my own CDs into it?
3)Is there a way to set these machines for auto play?
4) If I told you I could get this machine for just a tad under $500... full of CDs... does that sound like a good deal?
Thanks, folks
Todd

1:) good. Don't abuse it and it will do fine.
2:) easy. There is a way to do it. biggest pain is the title cards, but they can be had out there.
3:) yes, but see #1. Are you thinking of FREE play? (which it can also do.)
4:) I have sold them for around double that.

Hello Todd
In my opinion.
AMI ROWE cd100 jukeboxes are very reliable. Parts are fairly easy to find and relatively inexpensive compared to other jukebox brands (seeburg, rockola, wurlitzer) due to the interchangeability of many parts within its different models (cd10A-H, MMCDx, CD51, etc).
programming cds are simple. especially if you have a later central control computer eprom version.
The jukebox supports both free play and autoplay
$500 with a cdpro version is a good price, especially if the jukebox is in relatively good condition. Jukebox prices fluctuate due to time of year and location. I am seeing that prices are on the low end right now. Good time for buyers.
Good luck

Does anyone have a Rowe Eprom with 4.3 firmware for a cd100g?
