I want to connect my Pole Position steering assembly to a USB mouse so I can add it to my driving cab. I planned on taking the optics off of the USB mouse PCB, connecting a set of Optek (model #OPB660T) optics to a wafer board and then finally wiring the wafer board optics to my USB mouse PCB (where the original mouse optics were removed from). I would then mount/adjust the wafer board (with the Optek optics) to my Pole Position steering assembly using a similar manner as Oscar did at his site http://www.oscarcontrols.com/projects/steeringwheel2.htm
Is this feasible? I figured I would replace the mouse optics with the Optek brand optics since they are bigger and can more easily support the Pole Position encoder wheel.
If so, the only part I am missing for attachment of the wafer board is the white bracket shown in the picture below. I have looked everywhere and can not find one. Does anyone know where I can find one of these (or has an extra one for me)?

I've bought something very similar form the hardware bins at Lowes, except that it was in brown plastic.

I still have some if you need a couple. Email me and I'll send you some.

Any hardware store should have them.
