Title: Can Standard/Other Windows Resolutions be Deleted?

hi all (note: im using xp, ati catalyst)

generally when you have a desktop pc you always have the standard resolutions available from the desktop, eg. 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x800...

is there a way to remove these so they are no longer present/available in windows?

and or/otherwise, does anyone know how to remove or restrict resolutions available to mame? eg. how to remove most of the resolutions from the list below:
