On CL here.
Teenage Ninja Mutant Turtle Arcade Game - $2500
VERY fun game! Works great, Girlfriend is moving in and says it has to go.
UBER ridiculous price, though. Maybe that's a ploy.

For $2500 I could get TMNT, TMNT2, X-Men, The Simpsons, Bucky O' Hare and C.O.W. Boys. Probably a Sunset Riders as well. Seriously, those are some crazy prices.
Also when the Girlfriend says you have to get rid of your cool stuff, it's time to get rid of the girlfriend.
-
sounds like he's asking such a high price so that he can ensure it doesn't sell. but now he can go back to GF and say he's done his due diligence though, but that no one wanted to buy it.

this is basically the way prices are where i live when i search CL postings. You commonly see beat to hell machines going for hundreds of dollars. Saw a dynamo cab beat to hell, looked like it was agging, with a 60-1 board, painted with thick enable blue and the ugliest marquee i have ever seen. they wanted about 400 dollars for this sack of crap.
Saw someone the other day pushing their biggames midway arcade for a few hundred as well. The same ones that were selling in target and quickly liquidated at big lots stores for about 200 dollars.

At a local antique store here in Knoxville, they had a converted Q*bert. It was converted to a Golden Axe. The side art barely was there any more and the screen was starting to collapse. Plus the control panel was rough to say the least. They want $525.00. The real funny thing is my wife (who is not a gamer) said that machine is worth maybe $200.00 tops. So the moral of the story is : If you keep the wife around the machines long enough even they know when someone is asking way too much. :laugh2:

Yeah in another thread people were suggesting craig's list as a place to buy stuff. I didn't want to get into an argument, your mileage will vary, but in my neck of the woods CL is useless for EVERYTHING. Yeah there is stuff on there, if you want to pay full retail for a 5 year old pc, 400 bucks for an iphone 1, ect....

It's rough out there, I lucked out and got a $50 bench press and am shopping for an arc welder now but it takes forever to find a deal :banghead:

I responded to the ad saying he obviously wasn't trying too hard to get rid of it, as the cab is worth maybe $600.
I got a response back from a female-named eddress....saying the price was as listed....but they might go down to $2000.
I said I didn't even care for the game, and that if they wanted a real-market price figure, go check round on KLOV.
That Video Pinball in Sacramento looks in killer shape. That might not be a bad price.

Well, looks like they got a reality check, and have set the cab at 900. Better lit pictures, too. It looks in pretty nice condition.
