Hello, hello,
I have a frequency problem with my Arcade Monitor Wells-Gardner 19K4901. I am using Windows XP and MAME32 v0.90. I am also using a great Soft-15KHz. I am now looking for custom modlines that will make my, Mortal Kombat I, II, and III and Load Runner Roms, picture stable. I would appreciate any suggestions you guys might have.

Apparently the Mortal Kombat games run at about 53 or 54 Hz not 60 Hz so you may have to adj your vertical hold pot. I have a Mortal Kombat I but it syncs well with my Commodore monitor that I use on my test rig.

So, basically, whenever I want to play MK, I will have to re-tweak the actual screen position manually? There is no software tweaking, adding a custom modeline and such? I will try playing with it today, but it will be very disapointing if I had to tweak when switching between the games. That would suck.

i might be able to fix this problem if u used a newer version of mame, but i notice u are using a very old version 0.90
u are not willing to upgrade?

The version, I will have to doublecheck when I get home. I donwloaded mine from a romnation website when I was building my arcade long time ago. I did not actually check the number of my version installed, but I am assuming it is the one I have written down on my blog page. I will check that again, just in case, when I get back home. Also, what version would you suggest? What is the newest version that would run stable and does not ask for much tweaking? I kind of hate replacing the version if it will take away all that I have built so far. I have HyperSpin installed and booting straight into the Mame32 and all the commands, roms and the rest is setup just fine. I hope that installing this new version does not require re-tweaking all this.
Thanks for the response.

im not going to recommend updating mame if u dont want to
i think to solve the problem u may have to consider either running the problem games at a differet refresh rate (eg. 60hz), or force the problem games to use a different resolution (which may result in some black border)
