Hi all,
firstly I am using an ATI X1300/X1550 (not too sure which one it is, that is how it is reported as in Windows and this was some OEM card lying in my bros "junk" box!).
I had previously just got round to installing soft15khz on Windows 7x64 and was able to sucessfully get a picture on my Sony KV29F1U Scart TV using a VGA to Scart cable. However it was showing no additional resolutions which from reading I think is a problem witn Windows 7.
So I had some time so I decided to go the whole hog and install Windows XP 64 bit, Calamitys CRT Emudriver 9.3. ALl installed fine, so I proceeded to run VMMaker, and got I think 109 modelines, but all the resolutions I want seem to be there I guess.
However, using ArcadeOSD, when I select a resolution lower than 400x, I get a black screen, and on some of them the PC reboots!. The same sub 400x resolutions will work when I connect back to my LCD monitor.
Is this a problem with my card not having the lower dotclock do you think or is it driver related?.
Any help appreciated.

well, luckily for me, me bro also had some other ati card and turns out its an x300 from some old dell. swapped it in and all resolutions working :applaud: :applaud:
so I guess the x1300/x1550 is definately one of the limited cards.
Thanks Calamity for this great stuff :)

Hi churkus,
Yes, sorry for being late, the X series, starting from some level (probably X800) have this problem with low dotclocks. The X300 on the other hand works great.

My X800 worked tits with Soft15.
