So here I go into the world of classic arcade games..
Got a Missile Command of of CL...
The description from the previous owner was that they were playing it and it "just went out, could hear sound for a little while, then nothing"..
I have checked all of the fuses for continuity in the bottom of the cab and they test ok.
It does not boot or go into test mode. The monitor looks good and I can get Red Green or Blue solid my adjusting the cutoff dials on the back of the Yoke.
I am a newbie but ... so far I test from the harness ground to each of the test points good:
adjusted the crystal on the ARII and got these voltages to measure at PCB test points.
+5v is at 5.1 (somewhere on KLOV they said this was good)
+12 is at about 11.97
-5v is at -5.09
Edge connector is not perfect but I cleaned with an eraser and tested continuity from the harness ground to the PCB test points and they seem to work well.
I took the three large socketed chips removed them and cleaned the legs with an eraser, but maybe I need to get something better.
So what is the next step, do I need to search around for someone to test/repair my PCB? What else should I be testing? How do I test the ARII?
Any help would be much appreciated!!!

these boards are bad about rom sockets failing... you can if you are very very careful you can pull the roms and clean their legs and check your sockets. You need to be soooo very easy on the legs. Take not of the direction they came out (they will be all the same) (but it does not hurt to get a quick pick with your phone).
There is a guy who repairs these as well if you want to just send it off. If memory serves he charges 70 bucks or so.

Do you have his contact info and /or website address..
Thank you

Second that request... all of a sudden my MC cocktail won't boot either.

It sounds like you may have more than one problem. If the monitor is not displaying, how can you tell if your board is not booting or if you just don't have sound?

Good question.. I have done more testing with a multimeter and a logic probe and have now sent the PCB to a testing/repair guy.. the Atari AR2 is also getting sent off for testing and rebuild given that it has a bad R29 diode.
While I wait I am going to work on getting the wiring straight and cosmetics of the cab. I need to order a new roller and bearing kit for the trackball as well.
I may get a glass bezel that has the bases printed on them, but I have not decided yet. Side art is not in great shape but the wood of the cab is in very good shape.
I'll post some pics before it gets cleaned and after.

Thanks for the post, I sent my PCB to him, very nice guy and will test it for free then give cost estimate to repair.
Right now is working on the cosmetics and the trackball. I don't think I'll do sideart but I am still deciding about finding someone who can screen preint on metal and refinishing the CP...
Anyone know someone who does great screen printing on metal???
this would just look so great:
