Title: Help Identifying token
Post by: Poetheraven1 on January 04, 2013, 02:27:21 pm
I am a collector of US and Foreign coins as well as Tokens.  I have been reviewing past ArcadeControls topics and ran across one talking about old arcade games, centers, etc.  I have obtained a token which appears to be an arcade token (due to the castle being part of the token's design).  Does anyone know anything about Wright's?  I googled it and came up with nothing for arcades or gaming machines.  The token carries an rwm imprint indicating the Roger Williams Mint.  This mint made many arcade tokens, another reason for thinking it might be arcade.  Roger William Mint is now defunct.  It has been incorporated into the Osborne Coinage Company.  I would appreciate any information you might be able to give.

Regards,

Bill

Being the numb nuts that I am, I forgot to attach a picture of the token I'm talking about, so here it is.

I just did a google search of wrights and castle and came up with this.

http://home.comcast.net/~charneyt/tokendup.htm (http://home.comcast.net/~charneyt/tokendup.htm)

doesnt say much and it seems like the site hasn't been updated in a while.  But if you go back a page it has his email at the bottom. You could try that out.  But I wouldn't hold out much hope. Maybe someone else on here will recognize it right away
