anyone know
what monitor it is?
who made the cab
got this for free
there is no monitor chassis but it plays blind just fine
;D
-
Pinot sure on the cabinet, several companies made showcase cabs.
The stickers on the tube might give a clue to the model. There might also be a sticker somewhere on the frame, maybe on the front behind the plexiglas.
Nice score for free! The Naomi and I/O are worth a decent amount.
-
I had one of those and gave it away on the free items thread a while back. it had a label from some company in seattle or Vancouver and it was made as a generic cab.
-
Nice find! :applaud:
Let me know if you decide to MAME it, I can take that Naomi off of your hands.

im a lil jealous i want me one of the showcase cabs. i got a 32" tv sittign here under my table waiting on one. tho i had found a cab at the movie theater that i hadnt seen anywhere else it looked like it had a 32in monitor in an up right but it seems like a crt and not a lcd. i got pics of it but need better ones
-
I still have the monitor half of one of these suckers under my carport in St. Charles, MO if anyone is interested in it. No monitor chassis.
-
here are some more pics
the yolk has a made in France sticker on it
-
im starting to think that is just a generic showcase cab. as the cabs and pics i have see the cp overlay goes more to the edge. i didnt fine a mvc2 in that exact cab design but i did find a marvel vs capcom
-
the cpo is for MVC1 not 2 so it was MVC 1 to begin with
-
oh and the monitor is 32 inch and 15hz that's all i know about it :dunno
-
looks like a generic Dynamo showcase.
-
thanks now all i need is the chassis i still don't know what monitor it is
-
maybe a wei ya chassis will do.
look 'em up and see what the yoke readings need to be
-
the cab is a dynamo HS -15 showcase thanks for the help
as for the monitor i will get the neck pin number and the yolk reading ( how do i do that by the way)
-
HS-15- the vertical part under the display goes straight up and down. yours goes back at an angle if I'm seeing right. just like I had. copy of the dynamo product maybe but not the same.
-
i just realized the same thing so im not sure what it is there are no markings at all
-
I had info from a label - pacific amusements, bc canada or some such. the info was on the free items because I gave it away to member wildfire (wildfyre?) a while back. the thread got trimmed.

the chassis that tube should use is a pentranic ch-288 that has been modified for a 33 inch tube.
it should be able to do 15k or 25k.

You could find almost anything post 1990 in these cabinets.
Was it common for arcades to put any game in these showcase cabinets? Unless my memory is just flat out wrong(probably is), I'm pretty sure I used to go to a place called Fun N Pizza that had MK3 in one of these style cabs.
Maybe I've bounced my head off the ground too many times skateboarding around that same time to remember correctly? :dizzy:

I have one that has a shooting game in it. Mines a dynamo and they have it stamped a few times with the dynamo logo. Also the dynamo opens up in the front to access the pcb/ power supply. They are incredibly heavy and awkward to move around. I've always been curious how much the bent plexi in front of the monitor effects the accuracy of the guns, haven't had time to test with vs without. Every once in a while I'll notice a shot go way off and I think the plexi is making weird reflections :dunno

i played Mk3 or umk3 in a showcase cab and it made me want one the second i saw it. one day ill have mine complete
