Title: AAE Optical Inputs Slow?
Post by: WindDrake on January 01, 2013, 09:26:21 pm
Got AAE up and moving today, but I noticed something strange.

In MAME, my spinner (GGG TT2) works properly, and when sensitivity is adjusted properly, plays exactly like the real Tempest we have at work.

In AAE, I have to muck about with the sensitivity, and it seems like the polling rate in the program is too slow. If I crank the sensitivity up enough to make quick movements, you can't make slow/precision movements. It's like the input as a speed cap.

Anyone know a way around this?

Yup. The flippers are slow, too. Probly won't ever get fixed.

So I'm not the only one who noticed this.  Quite the shame, because I love the emulator, looks fantastic.

Yeah, but MAME vector shader support is coming along well.
