Post by: mgb on December 28, 2012, 04:06:43 pm

That's too bad.  Looks like it could be converted back though.

First off when I saw it I laughed
It currently had no game board in it and I'm kinda talking him out of doing anything with it so he may sell the cabinet as is. I may even buy it from him.

Nah, that Tapper is salvageable, most of the pricey art bits are still there.

That's almost as bad as a Cabal in a Satan's Hollow. :'(

Haha, that game conversion your talking about isn't THAT bad *ducks* haha, but seriously the guy that has that got it like that, can't blame him.

I saw the thread title and cringed so hard. That won't be too hard to restore, the marquee exists as a repro. The hardest part is going to be that control panel, as I don't think anyone had done new metal for it.

Yeah it is definitely not past the point of being saved. the original power block is still in the bottom of the cabinet too.
there is a little wood rot on the lower edges.

I honestly don't know of a Tapper that isn't having a little wood rot on the bottom and back sides, its the lack of T-molding in those areas, it lets that would crumble away a lot easier.
