Title: USB 12-way Rotary Joystick using a real SNK LS-30, works with MAME
Post by: dragonstrap on December 20, 2012, 02:21:44 am
Hi, I just made this rotary joystick. Here are some pictures.

I have the rotations registering as buttons 8, 9 and 10. So, at any given time this joystick is transmitting either 8, 9 or 10.
This isn't particularly useful, because MAME needs clockwise and anti-clockwise signals sent.

So... I wrote a program to do that too ;D

Awesome job!

I am going to start a new project in january. A 4 sided cocktail with one side having two LS-30's or preferably the smooth barreled wico rotarys.
I would be very interested in more details of your home made control encoder. Victory road Yeah!

Totally Awesome.
