I used to be able to charge my blackberry with the ps3 controller charging usb cord. So, now i am wondering if I can use my blackberry charger to charge my controller. Its the same plug in.
This would be way better cause if I'm charging my controller i have to sit way up close in order to play a game, which sucks.

Look at the back of the charger and check the output voltage. If it matches the DC power requirement on the controller, and the polarity is the same you should be good.
If you're unsure how to check polarity, imagine the cable as having an inside metal part and an outside metal sleeve. this diagram shows typical ways these are shown on power supplies etc.

Ignore the above... mini-usb are wired all the same way, you can use any mini-usb charger.

and ps3 controller can be charged with any mini usb cable/charger. I do it from my computer.
