Hey everyone, so I am having issues with the windows task bar showing up after I exit a game in mala. I'm not really sure why this is doing this but it's pretty annoying. They only way to get it back is to left click on your mouse.
I am running mala 1.7.4.0 MameUI 32 1.22. I am on windows xp
I also have focuslogger plugin set up. Any ideas?

go to option in mala go to GUI go to display go to Misc and turn off Show windows taskbar

I'm having the same problem, but with Windows Vista. I unchecked the box, "Show Windows Taskbar" and now the task bar is gone, but the little Start menu circle (windows vista) is still showing up in the lower left corner. Even though the task bar is gone, the same problem is taking place. I have to left click in order for everything to keep working. Very annoying. Any ideas?

I created a batch file that launches Mala at startup. Prior to launching the mala.exe, it stops explorer.exe. That should elimiate the problem altogether, along with freeing up some resources. When you quit Mala (assuming you are not shutting down), simply tell Mala to launch explorer.exe in the settings.

That is a good idea.
Can you post the batch file?

Doesn't windows automatically restart Explorer.exe whenever it is closed?
