Title: Jamma Board
Post by: CMOlson on December 15, 2012, 09:44:54 pm
Hey guys, I am almost complete converting my first lane with the jamma board...I have the accuscore + low boy 13" wells gardner CGA monitors...I am upgrading to 32" tvs using a vga coard...I am running into an issue seeing anything on the screen...I can see the asian writting at the top of the screen, and I was able to change the menu into english...my problem is I cant get the score boards or the amf home screen to show on the screen...I have hit the SW button multiple times and still says No Signal at the top...

here is the connector I put together...
Jamma boards says
Red ---> Red
Green -- > Green
Blue ---> Blue
H. Sync ---> Gray
V. Sync ---> Yellow
Ground Ref --> Back

According to the wells gardner 13" schematic I found on another thread..
My wires are
Red --> White with Blue marks
Green--->Blue with White marks
Blue--->White with Orange marks
Ground--->Orange with White marks
+V.Sync--->White with Green marks
+H.Sync--->Green with White marks

Anyone have a clue why I can't get the amf screen, or the scoreboards?
I have gotten further and I have a video of my current problem:
cga vga signal problem (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NMa8JzL-oXE#ws)

I know this isn't an arcade machine but I was hoping you might have some insight...CGA to VGA is what I am trying to do  :)

Thanks for any input.

You are honestly on the wrong forum for this sort of problem. The klov.com forums might be a bit better. But the more important part is that you are apparently wiring by the color of the wire. You can't trust the color of the wires. You need to trace them back to the sources. I assume you are using a CGA to VGA adapter, correct?

I will check that website out, thanks Paige. I am not only tracking the wire by its color. The picture didn't transfer over from my other forum to this one when I copied, I apologize. I used the schematic for the monitor board to trace it back. Than I used what the Jamma board instructions said each wire was. I am using the Jamma Board conversion board. Again thanks for the advice to check the other site.

Checked the site and they want money for me to join and ask questions...I don't like giving away money if I may or may not get a response...Or even one that just sends me to another site. I would be more than happy to donate...If they actually helped me...

You really need to show us pictures of what you are doing.

Existing KLOV members can vouch for you over there so you don't have to pay (the reason for the payment is a thread unto itself).

So now you can post over there as well, but show us some pictures of the wiring and the conversion boards.

We don't have access to your Skydrive (and the forum software is mangling the link).

You can upload the pictures here by clicking attachments and other options below the posting box.
