And just get a videocard that runs to a TV and use my 26'' instead?
I dunno why but my arcade monitor won't turn on but thats a differnt topic (look below), my arcade monitor plays some games at weird, small, off balance sizes, such as galaga, pacman and raiden. Should I just toss my monitor and go for a TV screen?

The output is so much better... and they are pretty easy to fix some things...
You might call a tv repair place if you don't feel up to the job.
but that it doesn't turn on doesn't mean much. It could just be a loose wire somewhere.
I say keep it myself... Worth 50 bucks to get someone to fix it if all else fails... But have you checked that the power is getting to the back?

Actually I havn't, don't have a multimeter right now.
I've visually inspected it from what I can see and it all looks good, I don't feel like taking it out of the cab just yet, hoping that there may be some hope somewhere even though it looks pretty hopeless right now :(
How often do these things crap out?

With a 100% power... Not often...
but since you wheren't around... who knows whats wrong...
I just got a Toshiba 27" TV SVid that would be GREAT in a cab...(wife won't let me... damn kids and their..."MOOVIESSS"... anyway it was 200 bucks at BestBuy.... I thought it was a great deal myself.
So it will PROBABLY cost about 65 bucks to have it fixed taking it somewhere. So basically double that you have a new TV.... But you could spend 65 to say that it's dead for good.
is it worth it??
