...and the first run of carts is already sold out after being available for about 7 hours. :o

Hrm... Might have to snag a couple of these for the kids for Xmas... nothing like a new NES game under the tree! :cheers:

Took the plunge.  I ordered Battle Kid 1 and 2.  There was no indication on the website of 2 being out of stock.  We'll see how that goes.   :cheers:

The initial stock was sold out within 7 hours. Later in the day it was made available to purchase with a "not likely to ship until 2013" notice on the product page. I missed out on the first batch, but still placed an order, hopefully I'll still get it early 2013.

Heh, now it does, yeah.  When I made my purchase it definitely did not.

Well, just letting you know that it did when I ordered mine 2 days ago. Don't be upset if you don't get it before Christmas. But the good news is you did manage to get in on the first production run. The site now says "estimated availability: February 2013".

I'll be annoyed if I don't get at least the first one before Xmas.  There is no reason to delay shipping the older one, especially since they went to the trouble of putting specific "order by" dates in the FAQ for pre Xmas delivery.

12/13 and my order is still "In Production".  No answer to emails.  Looks like they went on holiday without processing my order.  Bummer... I was really hoping for my sons to have something NES under the tree for Xmas.  They are NES fiends lately.   :-\

Not really all that surprising but the FAQ did say "orders by 12/17 would ship before Christmas".  No biggie.  We'll have something to do over Feb vacation.

Finally got a response.  It wasn't "we ran out of first run units".  It was more like "We got too many orders and didn't get to them all.  Sorry."  No word on when it was expected to ship or offer to ship part of the order.  Yeah, side job and holiday vacation etc, but poor communication of it all.  When a vendor clearly lays out a set of shipping date guidelines in their faq it should mean that the very least they do is communicate when they aren't going to meet their own dates.   :P

It was clearly stated in the product description, you just overlooked it. And why would he ship two carts seperately when you only paid for combined shipping? No need to get yer panties in a bunch for a game for an obsolete system. You might as well just cancel and ask for a refund.

Dude, I keep telling you, it was not there when I ordered.  The game was available for sale.  When you looked there was no "add to cart" button.  If the game were not available then their response would have told me that.  It didn't.  All they said was that they didn't ship it.  If it actually is the case that it wasn't available, then they messed up taking it out of inventory when they ran out, and didn't communicate that to me after I paid them for the item.  That would be a different, though also bad, bit of service.

And I'm not all bunched up.  If I were I would have just cancelled.  This is legit customer service info being shared on a forum.  Have I called them names or told everybody to avoid them?

Dude, I ordered mine before you ordered yours, and it was there when I ordered it. All of this was covered over on NA during the day of the release. The initial stock did sell out in the first 7 hours. About a half a day later it was made available to purchase again with the note that it wasn't likely to ship until 2013 (because he had to build them), a few hours later he made it unavailable to order due to the high volume of orders coming in. There's a whole lot to the story, it's all on NA. Just don't get bent out of shape for being left out of the loop. Maybe I shouldn't have posted this over here...
