Hi guys
Where exactly is the advmame.rc file situated in GroovyArcade? Or how do I get there under MC? I need to activate the 'input_idleexit' function.
Help would be much appreciated
Thanks

It's in .advance directory in the default users (called arcade) home directory: /home/arcade/.advance

=D think I just deleted mine before posting, though I created that file (maybe I still did - otherwise I wouldn't have asked). Is is possible to create a similar working .rc file if I DID delete the original?

Emuola, sure you're we're talking about the same file here? I'm referring to advMAME.rc, not advMENU.rc? my boot cd does not contain the advMAME.rc file

Oops... I'm terribly sorry, I somehow misread the filename all the time...

Hi Renier,
The GroovyArcade CD does not contain AdvanceMAME, but GroovyMAME, that's why the advmame.rc file is not contained. On the other hand, the AdvMenu front end is provided (a new updated build named Advmenu+)

NP Emoula
Thanks Calamity, where do I activate the 'input_idleexit' function? Or a similar function? I want the game to automatically exit after a certain time of in-activity and go back to AdvMenu. Ideas?
Or maybe I should tell you my actual problem. After entering a game, any game for that matter, it starts out at a good playable speed, but after a longish period of inactivity, i.e. in the game demo mode, the emulation starts to lag, horribly lag, what can I do to eradicate this?

Hi Renier,
There's no similar option AFAIK. However, keep an eye here because there's a new live-cd in the way, I have no idea why this problem happens but let's see if the new system fixes it.
