I have a gutted cabinet that I was able to get fully working but it doesn't have a monitor. It had a 27" 4:3 monitor in there before. I really don't want to put another full size arcade monitor in there and I was hoping to put a 16:9 LCD in the cabinet. I have a 27" wide space to work with. I don't care about delay since this is a PGA Tour Golf cabinet and response time is not an issue. I would like it to have a VGA input however as I do not want to use S-Video to output from the computer that powers the game.
So I'm thinking that someone must have been in a similar situation before and I thought that I would ask some advice. I found a Vizio Razor on Amazon that is a 29" widescreen with a total depth of 26.75". That seems like the biggest screen size that will fit my space restriction but I don't want to spend $330. The Amazon link is here:
http://www.amazon.com/VIZIO-E291-A1-29-inch-720p-Razor/dp/B009LG6AW6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1354660776&sr=8-1&keywords=29+tv (http://www.amazon.com/VIZIO-E291-A1-29-inch-720p-Razor/dp/B009LG6AW6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1354660776&sr=8-1&keywords=29+tv)
So if anyone might have a recommendation of a large widescreen format LCD that has a total width of 27" and won't break the bank I would appreciate it!

I just got this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236103 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236103) for my build. It was only $249 for black friday but it might go on sale again. I have only connected it to my PC but the picture is awesome. I am just finishing getting my MAME PC built so I will try it shortly with some games.

Thanks for the link. I'm still leaning toward the 29" monitor I posted above. An extra 2" makes a big difference (that's what she said) in the space within the cab!

Thanks Ed. I sent him an email just now requesting additional information. I think I'm kind of set on placing a 29" monitor in there but I will wait to see what he suggests. I sent a PM to you earlier by the way.
