Just wanted to give anyone a heads-up who needs a card for a dedicated GroovyMAME machine - Newegg.com has MSI's fanless 4350 for $14.99 after rebate. This is pretty much the most powerful (excluding the hard-to-find fanless Dell 4650) fanless card that perfectly supports GM.

A chap in this thread (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=113885.40) confirmed that it was a 'proper' 4350 (not a mobility), and works fine with GroovyMAME. I just ordered one for a cocktail build I'm attempting (trying to keep fan noise/heat to a minimum).

Great price indeed, but still, for the people that don't need 3d, and just want to run MAME or other emulators with software rendering (which pretty much any modern CPU can do for games that run on 15khz modes) perhaps its better to go for the used x300s on ebay or other similar really low end stuff.
Those fanless mid range cards like the one suggested tend to fail quite soon, due to the extreme heat that the passive heatsinks cant handle, and their mediocre build quality. Had lots of bad experiences on the past years with similar models, so Im sharing my experiences regarding the long term usage of such cards.

Too bad shipping is $7...looking for a low cost card mostly for testing!

If you're okay with cancelling Shoprunner after 30 days, 2-day shipping is free. On the right hand side (underneath shipping cost) should be something offering a 30 day Shoprunner trial. I got a free year a while back (forget how) and got it shipped free, but definitely less of a deal if shipping is $7.
