Took a look at his site and he's a serious composer/music theorist as well as having the programming and hardware chops.  Much respect.

Yes, I've seen this project a while back. It pays to take a look into a number of his videos, he has uploaded a few where he plays the classics:

Castlevania (Chipophone) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aJg-KfOUSRk#ws)
Live at LCP 2011, part 4: International Karate and Mega Man 3 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O8BNVVrjYWc#)
Thing On A Spring (Chipophone) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8pmN8QuIV-Y#ws)
Legend of Zelda (Chipophone) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RK19z06WMU4#ws)
Spellbound (Chipophone) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gAuPIgD-TM0#ws)

It pays to take a look at his other videos, too.  ;D

I've come across a ton of those old electric organs that people couldn't even give away... so cool to see one re-purposed.

Also, man the NES had some good composers back in the day.
