Has anyone tried this? I need a decent spinner but don't want to shell out for the OptiPac just yet...I have a PS/2 trackball and swappable CPs so I don't need to hook up both the spinner and tb at the same time. At the same time I'm using AdvanceMAME in Linux...but OSCAR says that the USB harness is compatible with various Win32 variants...no mention of linux. Oscar, can you confirm or deny this working? I can also use the PS/2 port with an adapter.
Thanks
John

Yep, it works. linux handles HID compliant devices.

I have SuSE 8.2 on my Dell laptop, and it works fine with it. Like SirP mentioned, it is a generic HID so it should work in all flavors of linux.

I use a model # (forgot the number, hehe) on my cabinet which is currently redhat.

Thanks for the info, guys. Another question...Can the 3/4" plateless Model 3 be used in other configurations, such as a 1/2" panel, or a metal panel? If so, what does one need to do to use it as such?
Thanks,
John
