Title: Raiden Fighter serie Resolution problem
Post by: jvlk on November 24, 2012, 03:04:07 pm
How do I get this to fill the screen from top to bottom when I put 640x480@60 in a game specific ini file, need it because my monitor doesn't seem to like the resolution groovymame selects for the raiden series.

Hi jvlk,

It GM is picking a resolution your monitor doesn't like it's because your settings are telling GM to do so. So it's a wiser solution to find the right settings for your monitor. If you still want to force a specific resolution then try the new version that allows all kind of forced stuff.

I have a Nanao ms-2931, so I used the settings from that monitor presets thread.
They all work fine and almost every game is running great at their native resolutions, only with some of the vertical shooters the interlace (flicker) on some resolutions is too bad.

That's ok, I thought the resolution just didn't work. With the new version you can also disable interlaced resolutions at all, so GM will do its best to calculate the resolution as progressive.

Erm I think you might have something set up wrong, the Raiden Fighters games shouldn't be interlaced at all.

This was on a older groovymame build, with the new one I have no problems.  :applaud:
