I like SK JUKEBOX. It's easy to set up. Works fine with MALA and has a nice clean look. The down side would be the number buttons used for song selections but there several ways around that and key remapping is a breeze with SK. Download a few of them and play with them on your computer.

In the jukebox in our gameroom I'm using Jukebox Arcade: http://www.extrastrength.com/jbarcade.php (http://www.extrastrength.com/jbarcade.php)

To be honest, it's not very easy to handle if you want to change more than the options are willing to do for you. BUT you can do some very nice things and edit the user interface with the xml-file. It's MP3-handling is a little tricky, too. It's not possible to have a sampler cd with several songs from various artists in ONE album. If you give it a directory with such MP3s it will make a album for every single artist. Since I have made single directories for each artist this wasn't a problem for me.

Worth giving a try :)

I don't have a jukebox yet, but I have added a music player to a cab conversion. I also have this software on my workbench touchscreen computer, "J. River Media Center". Has a ton of skins, including several touch screen friendly ones. Has an knack for copying the appearance of any other media player program too, from itunes to wmp

I liked the old "DWJukebox" http://dwjukebox.com/ (http://dwjukebox.com/)
It worked real well with GLaunch, but Im not sure how it would do with Mala.

Since it's going in a cab with mala, I'm guessing it's a safe bet that you won't be running a touch screen.

I've used JRiverMediaCenter for ages, and they're MP3 tagging, conversion and searching etc is top notch.

If you use it on a server or Home theater PC, it's great. But the touchscreen skins aren't really that great on an actual touchscreen.

However, JRMC on a cab with a trackball and a few buttons works surprisingly well, esp if you take a bit to find a decent skin and then alter it slightly for you purposes.

If you DO run it on a touchscreen, AlbumPlayer is a fantastic app. It's screens are VERY touchscreen friendly. It costs a few $, but it works welll for playing tracks, and it's easy to navigate for novices. However, it's not particularly good at organizing or tagging MP3 files. For that, I'd definitely fall back to something like JRMC.

AlbumPlayer works equally well on a non-touchscreen, however, and it's got some very well done skins available.
