Title: modifiers (like ctrl, alt, shift) don't work with nulldc with ipac.
Post by: Mokthemagicman on November 18, 2012, 10:57:00 pm
Anyone know of a workaround or fix so I can use my ipac set keys for mame player 1 that use Ctrl, Alt, Shift, Space.  Those keys don't work on the nulldc dreamcast emulator.  I heard some people bite the bullet and reconfig the ipac to different keystrokes like A, B, C, D etc... so it will work with nulldc but then I would have to reprogram every single game for mame instead of using the default keys.  UGH!

I'm sure there must be a workaround for this.  What should I do?

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Mok-

Run an AutoHotkey script to remap the keys before you launch the emulator.

Not that I disagree with the autohotkey script idea but just wanted you to know you can change the mame defaults in one fell swoop by editing the controls.ini file.

You can also do it globally from the TAB menu accessed while in any game.
