Title: Updating mame roms from 147 to 147u2

I successfully compiled MAME 147u2 with no nag and hi score support. My question is if it is absolutely necessary to also update my 147 romset to 147u2.  I know that only a handful of roms were updated from 147 to u2, but would staying with the 147 set have any other detrimental effects? I would like to avoid updating if at all possible, since Clrmamepro is not the most intuitive program to use.

There will be no effects in any games other than the ones that the roms changed.

147u3 is out.  better get on it.   :lol
