Title: Config to use with AVGA
Post by: MBaran on October 29, 2003, 10:16:03 pm
With an arcade vga card, and Mame, with the front end mamewah, should i need anything special. Does anyone have a custom cfg file that works well with avga. Also, would i need to configure anything else. I tried a scan converter, but it did not work as planned, because it cannot support under 640x480. Thanks for all the help.

Have you experienced a specific problem, or are you just trying to get it right the first time?

Here's what I did...

Installed ArcadeVGA + drivers.
Installed Official MAME.
Installed Mamewah.
Ran AVRES to set all the resolutions for my roms...

All games played to date run in perfect resolutions.

That definitely sounds like what i wanna do to get it right the first time. I have tried using AdvMame, and running 15khz straight to my monitor, but it doesnt wanna work. I will for sure order that card, and get it right the first time. Thanks
