Title: .7z support in MaLa?

Does MaLa support roms wit a .7z extension?  I recently converted my collection from .zip to .7z and Atomic FE stopped working, so I tried to setup MaLa but it freezes on the "Collecting games screen".  Freezes isn't the correct work, as the MaLa process continues to run and the memory that it uses continues to rise.

I don't believe it supports 7z

If you run through the entire roms list XML, mala can take a good bit of time to process that.

I usually use RomLister instead to build a much filtered list, removing dupes, clones, adult, etc first

yup a lot of my roms are .7z `s they work ok first cabinet i`ve tried making but haven`t had a problem after i had to download a .7z unzipping file to try out templates
