Title: Do I need to worry about viewing angles on a 2 player cab
Post by: Dr. Willy on November 14, 2012, 03:19:05 am
I picked up a gutted nba jam cab that i am turning into my mame cab. I am looking at montiors. As of right now i am looking at a 28" hanns-g, but its a tn panel with 160 vertical and horizonal viewing angle, but because its only 2 people playing do i really even need to worry about it?

i dont know bout the mentioned monitor , put mame retro gaming on lcd screen cuts the fun by 50 % . adding a cheapass chinabrand screen with bad viewing angle , distortions , input delay etc. will make u hate that thing . isnt the nba cab something like the mk midways arcades ? if so u should consider to pick a crt instead . i once tried to join a 19 inch hanns g pc screen with my vga dreamcast . words cant describe the quality of the outcome , so the first thought was to smash it with a hammer . i will never buy anything labled as "  hanns g " again .

ps. i m not a flatscreen hater . i m using some ips dell ultrasharps and a sony 32 inch tv for console gaming and i m very pleased with it .
