I'm a long time lurker who's finally about to take the plunge and build a cab or two.
I'm not trying to troll, but I figured I'd throw a link up because while reviewing some online plans and such I ran across a full- pirated copy of the 2nd Edition BYOAC book that just came out. Since I actually paid for the book, and since it's clearly a labor of love, and a lot of time, it irritates me that this book is being pirated.
Check out <link removed by haruman>
I don't know if what legal actions can be taken, but I figure if anybody cares they can look into this.
EDIT by haruman:
If you find something like this, just email or PM saint. Don't post that link here.
-
PMing a mod might have been a better idea. Now you just linked the pirated copy on a highly viewed forum...... :banghead:
-
Thank you, and yes please email me if you see the book being pirated. I will report it to my publisher, who actually owns the copyright and has a legal team to deal with such situations. Thanks!

Just checked through it to see if it would be worth buying. It would be a nice, handy book, would if I could, but unfortunately doesn't quite cover everything I'm looking for, like wiring buttons to a Ultrastik 360.

I have buttons wired to my U360's so if you need help just PM me either the question or a link to a thread on here. I'll help in whatever way I can. I tend to miss new threads sometimes.

It is not worth buying because it does not cover one specific item that you are looking for? Buy it to support Saint. I do not need both editions but I have purchased them just to support Saint for his great work.
-
Same here. I bought it simply to send some $$$ Saint's way. I also might gift it to someone interested in this hobby.
-
I bought my book, flipped through it for about 5 minutes and then put it up in the closet.
Its a nice reference for things, but I bought it to support Saint more than anything

I have both as well :-)

I think it's more of a how-to than product guide!

My brother, knowing that I am into DIY Arcade machine building called me up the other day to tell me about this awesome book he bought on a whim from Amazon. It didn't take me long to figure out that he was talking about the Project Arcade book. He was halfway through and fascinated with the whole thing. I am guessing, even though I already built him a machine, he will probably want to do one himself at some point.
I guess I should have thought about the book years ago as a Christmas gift for him. It is an absolutely fabulous book for people who are new to the scene. 8)

Thanks guys,
I checked briefly for a "contact" button, but didn't find anything. I realize that this wasn't the optimal way to alert somebody, but I'm a newb when it comes to forums, so I apoligize for that.
