I have a (probably pretty dumb) question about the neo geo mvs: Are all mvs cartridges compatible with all mvs pcb's? I'm sure if this whouldn't be the case, then i whould have found any information about it on the net but i didn't find anything. Still i'm wondering, the system is pretty old (1991 i believe?) and there are still games beeing made for it.
Have there been no technical changes (except differences in equipment like cart slots, joystick ports etc.) made to the pcb's since it's initial release?

EDIT: NM what I said first.
Yeah there shouldnt be a problem running the carts on diffrent versions of the system.
People are debating if there is a decrease in slowdown on certain games on newer versions of the hardware, nothing I can confirm or deny though.

yes, they are

Not all games are compatible with every mainboard. One example that comes to mind is Irritating Maze which uses a special mainboard and an extra circuit for the trackball controls.
Other games need special interfaces for their controls (mahjong, net link, 4-players, etc).
Speed difference may be noticed on Brazillian hardware as they are made for 50Hz refreshrates as opposed to 60Hz used elsewhere.

I just saw a "Rage of the Dragons"-MVS on ebay with the the note, that it's not working on every 1-slot board. Does anybody no why not and which boards do work?
I'm planning to get either a MV-1 or a MV-1F because IMO they are the best equipped 1-Slots.
