Hi All
I've just gotten an old wells gardner 14K9401. It worked fine when I pulled it from its home. I'd like to use it in a Mame machine, but it says it needs an Isolation transformer. I tried to understand that page from bob roberts, but it made my head spin. Also, I'd like to avoid using that giant brick in the original machine, which I believe is the isolation transformer... Is there a smaller form available these days? Or a work around?

You mean a 4900 monitor don't you?
Any monitor that says it needs an isolation transformer MUST be operated with it. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. Isolation transformers come in different sizes, but most of the common ones you can get are around 3" by 3" in physical size. You can buy them from Bob Roberts, Wells-Gardner, and many other sources on the internet.
