Title: Video Games Live Concert
Post by: Typefighter01 on November 02, 2012, 06:14:16 am
Hey Guys,

Sorry I don't have a link, just type in "Video Games Live Concert Wiki". It is an orchestra touring the country playing music from video games. It looks like it is more geared towards the Halo crowd, but I do see they have played music from;Frogger/Space Invaders/Street Fighter and other classics. As they are playing, screen shots and clips from the games are being displayed on a big screen. It actually looks pretty cool. A guy at work was showing me some footage from "Youtube" on his phone. Check it out.....

My mistake.....this show is 4 years old, probably posted hear long ago, new to me anyway :banghead:

You should definitely go.  It's really not focused on Halo or any other single game, but since that's a very popular series with some great music you'll hear one or two Halo tunes.

They put on a really great show that goes beyond the music.  The lobby has other gaming attractions and a lot of the audience will be dressed as their favorite game characters.

If anyone likes Final Fantasy music, a Distant Worlds concert is mandatory for you!

Been to two of them.  The one in Chicago a few years ago was fantastic.  Had one in Columbus, OH a couple months ago.  Not as good (not as big a venue, obviously,) but still a great time!

They're having another Chicago one in about a month.  It's the 25th anniversary of FF, so it's guaranteed to be good.
