Ok what I am trying to find (and cannot seem to find anywhere on the web) is more information about a Sega 200-5009 Monitor. Any information would be great. The picture is starting to get wavy and from what I understand a cap-kit might be my answer.
I am going to check on Bob Roberts site for information on a cap-kit but am worried that I will not find the right one for this monitor
Like I said any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!! :D

There should be a SEGA paper label on the picture tube with other numbers which should tell me what actual monitor you have. Most Sega games had NANAO monitors in them.

Ken,
There are two stickers on the tube.
1) Sega Sticker with the following numbers:
+ Sega Part # / 200-5009
+ MC-2600-SB
+ Color Display Assy,26 Type 100v
2) Color Picture Tube
+ Mitsubishi 670EKB22
+ E-58966
+ LR42053
If there is anything else you need please let me know! Thank! ;D

The MC-2600-SB means it's a Nanao model MC-2600-SB monitor. Have you checked the Sega service site of www.seuservice.com/search.html for more info? Also talk to Dave Cantrelle (dave.cantrelle@seu.sega.com) in the service dept. He may be able to find you a manual.

sweet, i will check it out! 8)

You monitor operates on 100 volts AC provided by a stepdown tap on the games' internal isolation transformer. Many Nanao monitor models were designed that way.

Status so far...
Was unable to dig up anything on the Sega Service website.
Emailed Dave and he was not sure about the model that I specified and asked what game it was used in. Since my machine was "Frankensteined" I could only tell him what I knew (when I bought the game it was a Atari Hydra).
I guess I'm down to writing down the "caps" and sending it to Bob Roberts!

Well that's one way to do it. ;) Bob's a good guy and I've ordered stuff from him myself.
BTW, I've noticed sometimes there are Sega monitor service manuals on ebay.
