Hi guys,
Have a speed question.
I've seen the mame docs and I think I found out how to speed up games.
Is there a way to slow them down. For instance, in lemmings, the decreasing clock shows the time left and the seconds aren'nt wright at all ... it's kinda it passes 3 seconds and it should pass only one.
At other games like arkanoid I think that the speed is too fast and not the real thing.
Anybody notice that ? Is there a way to solve the problem ?
Thanks
PS: Using a P4 2.4 512 Mb with XP, board JetWay, sound on board, graphics GE force 2 with 64 Mb TV/Out.

The speed is usually arcade perfect. They really go out of their way.. And in may ways... too much...
For instance..
smooth mame converts the fps to 60... for all that are close... And so you can set your refresh to 60 and have it look smoot. But there are a TON of games that run at 52 or 56 fps... so they run a little faster in smooth mame.
IE, they are down the the fps of the arcade monitor...
And no... there isn't any generic way to do it... Sad.. because some games are just down right too hard.

Well I think in the case of Lemmings, it is supposed to work like that - it is a prototype so I bet you haven't played the real thing to compare against! :)

Actually no ... the only one I've played was the PC version and that one works fine. Regarding the arcade version ... before mame ... I even haven't heard about it ... we are a small coutry ... not so many arcade machines have arrived here ... :)
But I have another example ... and this one I'm sure about it ... because I spend a lot of money on it at a local arcade not so long ago .... till I found mame of course ;)
Magical Drop II runs faster on mame ... then on arcade ...
Well ........ if there's no solution .... I can live with that ... :D
