Title: Monitor lingo - capped/uncapped??

can someone explain to me what a capped monitor is vs. an uncapped monitor?? thanks.

an uncapped monitor has not had any parts replaced on the chassis...
a capped monitor has had the caps (capacitors) replaced...
This is reffered to as a "cap-kit"...

It helps restore some of the color & other distortions in older monitors.
