Title: Cabinet Plans?
Post by: taylor34 on October 17, 2003, 01:49:18 am
Hello--

Well, after building my own mame machine out of double dragon cabinet about 3 years ago I've decided that need something bigger all around.  Looking for plans to a cabinet that meets these two requirements:

a)  handles a 27" screen
b)  4 player control panel

I realize that I could probably draw up my own plans, but since there are so many good existing designs I thought it would probably be easier to go that route (and probably cheaper, since I wouldn't ruin so many MDF panels, lol).  Thanks

you could go to the main page and click on "cabinets"
and then, you could click on the area called "cabinet plans"
yeah really that's what its called.  Go figure.

The plans are on the site in the files section.

Just noticed the remote hack...that's sweet. On/Off, right? Did you just extent the IR LED up to TV and connect an external button to the remote? Sooo cool! 8)

I'm always surprised by how the people in this Forum work around problems.  ;D

Yeah that is pretty much what I did.  Unfortunately, my TV did not auto power up with my smart strip so I made 2 power buttons.  One for the TV and one for everything else.
