There seems to be more game boards than original cabinets. I think a fourm that deals with the repair and the jamma harness making for old game boards. Might be useful here.

This is interesting, but I doubt there is enough traffic on these forums on that topic to warrant a dedicated forum for it. I'm afraid it would be a thread graveyard where most questions would never get responses, or you have 2-3 people answering all the questions. It's when questions/threads of this nature start to overwhelm the Main forum that a dedicated forum would likely be considered.

I find that there are very few arcade sites that come any where near this one in terms of quantity and quality. I think having a seperate arcade hardware forum might be a good thing. While most of us here are emulating, this site seems to be populated by those who own allot of dedicated machines too. Most of the dedicated arcade forums are small and have very few posts.
I volunteer to mod such a forum if it can be done.

i agree with oscar, it would be good if we start getting a lot of posts about them. But i think the main forum is pretty balanced right now

I have to agree with OSCAR too.. There's not enough traffic about it.
This site (to me at least) is really about building your own arcade maching and interfacing it with something (computer/xbox/dreamcast) to play arcade originals, not so much about restoring/repairing original arcade equipment. The Main Forum would be a great place to ask those kinds of questions, and I rarely see them, if at all.

If you have repair questions then post them over at the klov.com message board, that community might be a tenth of the size of this one, but they have ten times as much knowledge when it comes to repairing original games.

I do think that a general "Classic Cab Restoration" Forum would be in order. I'll bet it would grow into something good.
