i am using the CAVE layouts in the latest version of mamewah.
No matter how many times i have tried, i can not get any snapshots to be displayed in mamewah. (The cave layouts allow two graphic, snapshot and a title perhaps).
In the artwork section i do.. c:\mamewah\mame\snap
but it doesnt display anything.
I also have tried this on my SNES emu too, and no screenshots are being displayed for that either.
Ive tried searching this place, but i found no answer.
Please help!

If I am not mistaken, the path for snaps should be:
c:\mame\snaps
(or whatever drive MAME is on)

Open Cave's layouts in the Layout Designer, and see which Artworks #'s he used for his layouts.
Then open MAMEWAH, and check that the 'Artwork #? Path's are correct for each type of artwork.

Stuzza's page has many layouts for mamewah 0.935 but refers you to a different page for later versions. Does that means that you can't use the older layouts with the new version?

I've been able to user both the .935 and the higher versions with MAMEWAH. I'm currently running .962 with no problems with any of those skins.

the MAME artwork should be like this
Artwork #1 Image Path = C:\MAME\SNAP
Artwork #2 Image Path = C:\MAME\FLYERS
replace C: accordingly or maybe your missing the paintX.dll, this would happen if you just copied mamewah to another computer instead of installing it.

I have just started playing with making my own design and it's so easy! (well except for coming up with art that looks good). Thanks Minwah!

AHA thats probably why! I installed mamewah on the HD in this comp, before moving it over. I just hope its not gonna erase all my settings if i re-install over the top of it.

They do work, BUT they will require some renaming and placing in the correct folder. Read the latest Layouts.txt for details...
