Anyone know the minimum HD size needed to accomodate the full .75 rom set. I'm running Windows 98 SE and that's about it.
-
not including the chd files i would say about 20 gigs. Probably closer to 40 when you include your operating system, chd files and assorted other programs
-
I don't think it's quite that much.. Maybe around 10-11GB

you're saying the the non-chd roms take up 20 gigs? that seems high.
-
I can definitely tell you that the ROMs themselves take up about 7.1 gigs. The CHDs add another seven-ish on top.

I'm running 98SE and with the exception of the .chd files I fit all roms and artwork etc. on a 10Gb HDD. A 20Gb would probably be the answer.

If your hard drive is too small, sometimes you can get pills to fix it.
-
The current rom set for Mame (version .75) takes up 15.5GB.
-
Does that include the variants of the Beatmania and all their CHDs ?
Thanks

BobA: Yes.
JustMichael: sounds like you haven't used ZipMax on your ROMsets. Get it from the ClrMAME site.
